More writing assignments

We did this assignment as a way for students to grasp the framework that says they need to be able to communicate real-world problems graphically, algebraically, verbally, and numerically. The students worked in groups. They divided their sheets into quarters and dedicated each rectangle to portraying the same literal equations graphically, algebraically, verbally, and numerically. The students enjoyed doing it, and I was really proud of their efforts. We did this activity a long time before I taught them the R.A.F.T. activity that I learned at our last Saturday meeting. In this activity, they had to write in complete sentences for the verbally part, but I didn't make them speak in front of the class. They liked not speaking in front of the class, but enjoyed the R.A.F.T. assignment better overall.
